Just got off the phone with mydropcard.com, what a great conversation. Instead of just looking at blogs and analytics, their calling people who signed up for the service but stopped using it. They want to hear what I actually had to say about their product. They wanted real world feedback!
Their goal if I understand it correctly is to see if they are solving a problem or making it harder? I applaud them for this effort. If more companies (web 2.0 especially) did this, thousands of dollars and hours of development time could be saved.
So may problems can be resolved quickly or viewed differently if people just took the time to listen to what others are saying. I’m just guessing here but its my bet that after they make a few calls they are going to save themselves hours of discussions, design time, development time and potentially a 2.0 version that no one would use anymore.
I look forward to seeing how the idea evolves and I wish mydropcard.com the best of luck.
